Good Samaritan is a faith-based non-profit charitable organization in Odessa, Ukraine providing much needed resources and care to the local community and the surrounding region. The war has created instability and one of the largest humanitarian crises in the world. Tens of thousands have been killed or injured, and approximately 14 million people have been displaced. Ukraine is in great need, and we are grateful to those from outside of Ukraine who have decided to come and join us to volunteer. To respond to that need, we have created an international volunteer program for those outside of Ukraine to come and stay with us and serve the city of Odessa. We will provide accommodation and put you to work according to your skillset. We’re excited to have you join us and experience the bravery and courage of the Ukrainian people firsthand. FAQ

Is Odesa safe?
Right now, Odesa is relatively safe. There is a war, but the front lines of the conflict are several hours away in the Kherson region, and Ukrainian forces are currently pushing back against the Russian line. That said, there are risks, and a bomb shelter is located on campus in case of an emergency. Otherwise, Odessa is a beautiful city and life carries on here. Odessa is a port city on the Black Sea in southern Ukraine known for its beaches, cosmopolitan vibe, and 19th-century architecture. It is also the third most populous city in the country.
